My sustained investigation attempts to explore and depict the points of between being in and out of reality, and the many feelings and senses that enter and fade along with them.
Through this sequential concentration, I seek to pinpoint and visualise the experiences of an individual in moments before, during, and after unwillingly giving their head over to the clouds. Three images show the story of each of five sequences, beginning in the moment and ending in another world altogether. The first is a feeling; dizziness and disorientation, the focus of a singular object to, without success, grasp onto anything. Then, exits the clarity of the world as everything blurs together, the dizziness not only affecting your vision but the ground beneath you. The third sequence is the feeling of you beginning to leave your body; you become a shadow, and you separate from yourself slowly. After, your senses become fully drowned out, as if you’re in an ocean of molasses, and a hole opens underneath you. The fifth and final sequence is no longer anywhere near reality; you are able to watch yourself as if a passenger, and the world looks -is- a little different.
